Great tour. Our guide enjoyed himself as much as we enjoyed him.

Not really sure, but we think his name was Nash. He had a great personality, humourous and spoke loudly and clearly. There were only 7 of us in the group, which was a great size. Not really sure how this tour, which was cheaper differed from the East and West tours, but we covered a lot of ground, learned a lot and were entertained as well. Well worth the time and money.
Great Tour of Montreal - New and Old

Our guide Alfredo was great. Extremely knowledgeable on the history of Montreal, very unbiased presentation on the city and history of how Montreal has evolved over the last couple centuries. Highly recommended. Has great recommendations for restaurants and things to see.
Highly recommended

My daughter and I enjoyed the tour. The guide was well informed, articulate and interesting. We covered a lot of important places. At each place the guide gave us and interesting commentary about thew history and importance of the site. It was worth the time and the cost.
Great tour

How you like these tours depends greatly on your tour guide. We had Richard. He was great! He gave us a lot of interesting information about Montreal from the French and English perspective, historical places and showed us some interesting restaurants and architecture. He was a very engaging tour guide.
I actually thought when I booked it, I was booking a different tour that included the Basilica. A little bit disappointed this tour did not, but by the time this tour was over, we were ready to sit for awhile. The website needs to offer directions on how to find the Presse Café from the Basilica. If you aren't familiar with the city, you have to depend on the kindness of strangers. The four stars reflects the website, not Richard.
A good tour

We did an hour and a half tour of Old Montreal and learned some interesting information. Our guide was nice and gave us lots of historical facts but the tour lacked personality. Lots of details about banks and stories about how things came to be but sort of bland. Didn't really get the "insider" recommendations and insights that other viator tours seem to provide automatically. For example, our guide pointed out the building that looks like NY Empire State but didn't tell us you could see a piece of the Berlin Wall near there. Even when the tour ended, our guide just said there are lots of nice restaurants all around the square, but nothing specific about the food or personal preference given.
